Accommodation
Both UNICjob and the worker depend on help from the hiring company in finding suitable accommodation for the rather short period. This should be solved in near location of the working place, as a single or double accommodation.
Sharing WC and bath is normal, and if there is no staff cantina or other meal arrangements at work, then also kitchen facilities are necessary. Just as important are accesses to a washing machine and internet or Wifi since this allows the workers to communicate with friends and family and are an important factor for the person’s wellbeing.
Each worker will pay a normal market price on the accommodation. However since the working period normally is rather short, there is not normal to ask for a deposit in advance.
If agreed between the worker and the landlord, UNICjob can assist in the transaction of the payment for the accommodation by deducting the amount from the workers net salary payment each month. UNICjob does not take any profit or commission on such transactions.
Some companies offer meals in the in-house cantina if available where the worker can have one or more meals and will pay a certain amount for each meal. Or other companies who don’t offer such service has a kitchen available, where the worker can prepare the meals after buying local groceries.
